Sabrina Carpenter’s New Role: A Wonderland Adventure

Get ready, Wonderland fans! Sabrina Carpenter is set to star in a brand-new ‘Alice In Wonderland’ film, and it’s already generating buzz. This project isn’t just another role for the singer-actor; it seems to be a passion project, with Carpenter herself approaching Universal Pictures with ideas about a year ago, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

While the specific role Carpenter will play remains under wraps, her involvement as a producer adds another layer of excitement. The film is set to be written and directed by Lorene Scafaria, known for her work on Jennifer Lopez’s ‘Hustlers’.

But here’s where it gets interesting… This isn’t the first time the iconic story has been reimagined. Disney’s 2010 live-action reboot, directed by Tim Burton, was a massive success, grossing over a billion dollars. It featured Mia Wasikowska as Alice, alongside a star-studded cast including Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway, and Helena Bonham Carter. That film even spawned a sequel, ‘Alice Through The Looking Glass’.

The upcoming film will revisit Lewis Carroll’s timeless Victorian-era tale, which was famously adapted into a Disney animated film back in 1951.

This project marks yet another milestone for Carpenter, who rose to fame on the Disney Channel. She’s also slated to join the cast of Seth Rogen’s ‘The Muppet Show’ revival for a one-off special in 2026.

And let’s not forget Carpenter’s musical achievements! She’s earned an impressive six Grammy nominations, including nods for Album Of The Year and Best Pop Vocal Album for ‘Man’s Best Friend’, as well as Song Of The Year, Record Of The Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, and Best Music Video for ‘Manchild’.

What do you think? Are you excited about another ‘Alice In Wonderland’ adaptation? Will Carpenter be a good fit for the role? Share your thoughts in the comments!
